Made-to-measure loft bed (based on mattress size) is an option for those who want to adapt the bed to their space—not the other way around. You provide the mattress size, and we prepare the bed in individual dimensions, so it’s easier to “fit” a loft bed into a child’s room and plan the space underneath in a practical way.

The price is averaged and includes the cost of non-standard changes, i.e. guardrails and modifications to the bed ladder. If, however, you are looking for a standard height of 120, 135 or 150 cm, it’s better to choose a standard model from our range.

  • Loft bed for your mattress size – tailored to the mattress dimensions provided by the customer.
  • Great as a loft bed for a small room – helps you organize the space.
  • Averaged price includes changes: guardrail + ladder modifications.
  • Overall bed size: we add 8.8 cm to the given dimensions.
  • Simple total height calculation: we add 38 cm to the clearance height under the bed.
  • A sprung slatted base for the mattress is already included in the set!

IMPORTANT:

This product is made to order and is treated as such. Therefore, we recommend carefully checking all dimensions, as returns are not possible in this case.

If the length needs to be greater than 200 cm, please select the appropriate option from the selector at the very bottom! This change affects the price. Otherwise, the order will be put on hold.

Made-to-measure loft bed – tailored in every detail

In a child’s room, things are rarely “by the book”: an alcove has its own width, a desk needs its space, and on top of that there’s the question of how the child uses the room every day. That’s why a made-to-measure loft bed works in a simple, logical way: the customer provides the mattress size and the clearance height under the bed, and we adapt the bed to this data. As a result, you get a made-to-measure loft bed that is easier to fit into a specific room layout.

This solution is often chosen by parents who want to combine comfortable sleep with better space organization. A loft bed for kids helps keep the room tidy, because it separates zones: a place to rest “up top” and a functional area “below”. For this reason, a kids’ loft bed works especially well when space is limited and every centimetre matters.

What to know about pricing in this model

This product is made individually, which is why the price is averaged. It includes the costs of non-standard changes, which in practice means that the price already covers modifications such as:

  • guardrail modifications,
  • changes to the bed ladder,
  • adjusting the leg height,

Thanks to this, from the very beginning you choose a variant designed for a “made-to-measure” order, without adding key modifications separately. It’s convenient logistically, and at the same time it makes comparing options easier: the made-to-measure model is for tailoring dimensions, while standard models are a good choice if you are aiming for the typical height used in our products.

When it’s better to choose a standard model

If you are looking for a bed with a standard height of 120, 135 or 150 cm, it is better to choose a standard model from our range. The “made-to-measure” version was created mainly to make it possible to adjust the construction to the mattress and the space when standard variants do not solve the fitting issue.

In practice, it works like this: a standard model is a good choice when everything “fits” typical dimensions, while a made-to-measure loft bed is beneficial when you want to precisely match the overall size to the room and avoid compromises resulting from ready-made schemes.

Mini guide: How to choose the dimensions

Step 1: Mattress size as the starting point

In this product, the key factor is the mattress size – it defines the base dimension. You provide the mattress dimensions, and we adapt the bed. Remember that the overall size will be larger than the mattress space. Looking for a non-standard mattress? Write to us and we will prepare a special mattress in the right size for you :)

Step 2: How to calculate the overall bed size (+8.8 cm)

We calculate the overall size in a clear way: we add 8.8 cm to the dimensions provided by the customer. This equals the leg cross-section ×2, which is used in every bed we manufacture.

  • Example: if the mattress size is 120×80, the overall bed size will be 128.8×88.8 cm.

Thanks to this, it’s easier to check whether a loft bed for a small room will fit in the planned spot and whether there will still be comfortable space to move around. Remember the ladder! In this version, the ladder is 45 cm wide. It’s worth keeping this in mind when planning the space. In the 120x80 version, the entry under the loft bed will be exactly 75 cm wide (120 cm - 45 cm).

Mini guide: How to calculate the height

Overall height (+38 cm) – planning the space “below”

We calculate the overall height so that it’s immediately clear how tall the entire construction will be. Simply add 38 cm to the clearance height under the bed. This is important, because the “under-bed” height affects how functional the space will be – whether you plan a play zone, storage, or a place for a desk.

  • Example: if the clearance height under the bed is 100 cm, the overall height will be 138 cm.

This way of calculating makes it quick to compare different layout options and choose a variant that is practical for the child now, while still being sufficient as they grow and their day-to-day needs change.

Practical checklist before choosing

To keep the decision simple and stress-free, it’s worth going through a short checklist. Thanks to it, a loft bed for children will be matched not only in dimensions, but also to how the room is used.

  • Decide on the mattress size for which the made-to-measure loft bed should be prepared.
  • Calculate the overall size by adding 8.8 cm to the given dimensions (e.g. 120×80 cm → 128.8×88.8 cm).
  • Plan the clearance height under the bed, then calculate the overall height by adding 38 cm (e.g. 100 cm → 138 cm).
  • If you want a standard height of 120, 135 or 150 cm, consider a standard model instead of the made-to-measure version.

1. Important Warnings:

  • The bed is intended for children over the age of 3.
  • Warning! The bed contains small parts, such as screws and dowels. Choking hazard. Keep small parts away from children under the age of 3.
  • The assembly of the bed must be carried out by an adult following the included instructions.
  • Regularly check that all assembly components are securely tightened to ensure safe use.
  • For bunk beds or loft beds, always attach them to the wall!
  • The slatted frame must be installed correctly. Since flex slatted frames are made of curved slats, they must be mounted with the curve facing upwards. Incorrect installation, with the curve facing downwards, may result in improper use and even pose a risk of falling!

2. Preparation for Assembly:

  • Ensure that you have all the parts listed in the package. If anything is missing or damaged, contact the manufacturer.
  • Choose a stable, level location for assembling the bed.
  • Use the tools specified in the instructions to avoid damaging the components.
  • If wall mounting is required, ensure you purchase appropriate wall plugs.
  • If you encounter any difficulties during assembly, contact the manufacturer for assistance to ensure proper bed installation. Improper assembly can pose safety risks and may lead to accidents during use!

3. Bed Usage Guidelines:

  • The bed is designed for indoor domestic use only.
  • Do not use the bed if any part is damaged or incomplete. In such cases, contact the manufacturer.
  • The upper bunk is intended only for children over the age of 4 to minimize the risk of falling.
  • Do not jump or place heavy loads on the bed exceeding the recommended weight limit (120 kg per level).
  • For loft and bunk beds, we do not recommend use unless the bed is securely attached to the wall.

4. Cleaning and Maintenance:

  • Clean wooden elements with a damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals that could damage the surface.
  • Avoid exposing the bed to water or high humidity to prevent wood deformation.
  • Since the wood is untreated and unpainted, you may choose to apply a finish on your own. Use products suitable for children’s beds. For varnishes and paints, we recommend using water-based products. Ensure that the paints and varnishes used have the appropriate certifications!

5. Disposal:

  • When the bed is no longer in use, dispose of all parts in accordance with local regulations. Wooden components and cardboard are recyclable.

Our Approach to Ecology

With care for the environment and the high quality of our products, we source wood exclusively from Polish forests, ensuring responsible resource management. We can guarantee that no chemical agents are used in the production process – our wood remains completely natural.

Natural and Safe Wood

We use laminated pine (wood joined with micro-dowels) to manufacture our beds, ensuring exceptional durability and strength. The gluing process is carried out with safe adhesives that release minimal amounts of formaldehyde – their level is close to that of solid natural wood.

Our wood remains completely natural, without knots or resin pockets. This ensures that no part of the structure loses its stability.

No Chemical Coatings and Ready for Further Processing

We do not use varnishes, paints, or other chemical coatings – you receive pure, fragrant pine wood. The wood is sanded twice and chamfered, making it safe to use and perfectly prepared for further processing. If you want to coat it with varnish or stain, this should be done independently or by a specialized company.

Eco-Friendly Production

We strive to minimize waste – all wood scraps are passed on for further processing, such as the production of heating pellets. We make every effort to ensure that no material is wasted and that our production remains as sustainable as possible.

Eco-Friendly Packaging

We have reduced the use of non-recyclable materials to an absolute minimum. We avoid artificial fillers whenever possible, and our packaging is mainly made of cardboard, which is fully recyclable.

By choosing our beds, you invest not only in quality and durability but also in environmentally friendly solutions. If you have any questions regarding our production or materials – feel free to contact us!
